Cross-Border Restructuring: B. Riley Farber’s Reach Extends to Mexico

B. Riley Farber’s BTG Global Advisory (“BTG GA”) affiliates, B. Riley Advisory Services in the USA and TCP Partners in Brazil, have partnered to open an office in Mexico— B. Riley Advisory Services de Mexico.

The new operation will be led by Gaston Mauvezin, a seasoned executive with decades of regional experience—including in Mexico, Brazil and Argentina—across the automotive, financial services, real estate, agribusiness, industrial and consumer sectors.

Spanning back to NAFTA and now with the newly renegotiated USMCA agreement, Mexico remains an important trading partner for Canada and USA. This new venture will be a valuable resource to our clients with existing business in Mexico, or those with plans to pursue opportunities or restructurings in the Latin American region.

“I am delighted to announce the extension of our geographic reach into Mexico. As many of you know we have a vibrant international network through our BTG GA partnership, of which we were founding members,” notes Allan Nackan, Partner at Farber. Allan continues, “For this latest expansion, B. Riley Advisory Services leveraged TCP Latam’s regional experience and relationships to bring Mexico into the fold. Our goal is to be trusted advisors to North American and other global companies with business challenges in the region.”

B. Riley Advisory Services de Mexico will work closely with Farber, and other BTG GA members, to provide advisory and turnaround services in:

  • corporate restructuring
  • mergers & acquisitions
  • crisis management
  • corporate finance (including due diligence and valuation issues)
