We are delighted to share that Begbies Traynor Group, our UK partner in BTG Global Advisory (BTGGA), completed an acquisition of a restructuring and insolvency firm called CVR Global. This is their largest acquisition to date, and will enhance their offering in London, the South East of England, as well as internationally.
CVR has international offices in Jersey, Gibraltar, Cyprus and the British Virgin Islands, which strengthens BTGGA’s international footprint, particularly in these important offshore centres. This enhances the group’s existing capabilities in business recovery and financial advisory—including a strong contentious insolvency practice, forensic accounting, expert witness, and pension advisory services.
B. Riley Farber co-founded BTGGA about five years ago together with several independent firms, including:
- Begbies Traynor in UK
- GlassRatner (now B. Riley Advisory Services) in USA
- PLUTA Rechtsanwalts GmbH in Germany, Italy and Spain
- Rogers Reidy in Australia, Hong Kong, Singapore Malaysia, New Zealand
- Integrated Capital Services Limited in India.
We were later joined by Matuson & Associates in South Africa; Zalis in France and Belgium; and TCP Partners in Brazil and Latin America. Recently, we admitted ftt partners in Russia and B. Riley launched an office in Mexico.
