In addition to his love for the arts and sciences, Cory is an avid fan of live performance—including music, theater, and cultural experiences. Surprisingly, he has no qualms about Canadian winters and even embraces them, which is quite impressive considering his Caribbean roots. His interest in cooking and baking began at a young age when he and his sister were given the opportunity to explore the kitchen. Under their mother’s guidance, they discovered the joy of baking cookies and creating simple, yet delicious, dishes. Cory’s culinary skills have since expanded, and he can confidently whip up a variety of meals, including savoury pasta, fish, and beef dishes. His broad portfolio of cooking abilities spans different ethnic styles, reflecting his appreciation for diverse flavours and cuisines.

Growing up with Bajan and West Indian influences, he holds a special place in his heart for Caribbean flavors. However, his travels have also made him a big fan of cuisines from across the globe. He appreciates the rich and diverse culinary experiences that all cultures offer and is hard-pressed to pick a favourite!

Unconventional Entertainment 

While Cory’s affection for literature, cooking, music, and the arts are evident, he also enjoys indulging in TV shows and movies. One of his all-time favorite movies is Christopher Nolan’s mind-bending masterpiece, Inception. As for TV shows, Cory finds himself drawn to dramas and British police dramas Like Luther.

Cory also enjoys avant-garde comedies that challenge traditional norms, such as I Think You Should Leave Now with Tim Robinson and The Eric Andre Show. These shows may not be everyone’s cup of tea, but Cory embraces their unique and unconventional humor.
