Statement to the Media
“We at Farber would like to express our compassion for those affected by Garcon Building Group Ltd.” said Andre Mazerolle, Director of Client Development at Farber Financial Group.
Bankruptcy is a process governed by the BIA. As soon as a company is declared bankrupt, creditors can no longer launch or continue legal proceedings against the company without the Court’s permission. In a bankruptcy, companies who can no longer pay their debts give all of their assets to a Trustee in Bankruptcy who then sells it and distributes the money to creditors.
